Microcassette Transcription Services
|
Microcassette transcription services involve transcribing the audio from small tapes into text format. However, with the advent of the digital voice recorder, microcassette transcription is becoming less common. The advantages of using microcassette transcription services is that it utilizes a recording medium that is small, portable, and convenient. The disadvantages are that you have to purchase microcassette transcription equipment. Most microcassette transcription services have to convert your tape into a digital file because people do not transcribe from microcassette transcription machines anymore. Many microcassette transcription services (including ours) charge more because the quality of the recording is not as good a s a digital file. Sending your tape to a microcassette transcription company can also be a bit risky because the tapes are not always that durable. Many microcassette transcription services will find that tapes break during the digitizing process because of how fragile the audio source is. We encourage all of our clients to invest in a decent quality digital voice recorder; however, we still (and always will) offer microcassette transcription services. To utilize our microcassette transcription services, simply sign up as a client on our site and fill out an Audio Submission Form. We have provided microcassette transcription services for many of our clients, and with all our talk about the superiority of digital recordings, we are still able to generate high quality transcript. If you would like digital copies of your original microcassette recordings, we can provide them to you for another small additional cost when performing microcassette transcription services. |
