Santa Monica, CA (PR Newswire) July 29, 2010 – VerbalInk.com, one of the leading providers of transcription services in the industry, announced today that it will offset its electricity usage annually from 2009 onward, starting with a recent purchase of wind-generated renewable energy credits (RECs) from Renewable Choice Energy equaling 100 percent of the company’s 58 thousand kilowatt hours of electricity usage last year. The environmental impact of this commitment is similar to that of planting over 250 trees every year.

As the recent tragedy in the Gulf has shown, conventional fossil fuel production has come with increasing environmental costs. President Barack Obama’s plan to promote alternative energy initiatives is hoped to spark new investments in clean technology that could conceivably reduce the burden borne by the environment.
